Weymouth – Kiel Canal

 

JD Yachts brokered the sale of this stunning Sunseeker Portofino 46 which they sold to a Swedish client. With this delivery, the new owner came along for the ride to Kiel, where he was then to take over and helm her the rest of the way.

 

This Sunseeker Portofino 46 is an outstanding example and very much sought after, she is highly specified and maintained perfectly. The new owner had seen over four other Sunseeker Portofino 46’s before purchasing from JD Yachts.

 

At sea the Sunseeker Portofino 46 handled elegantly through the English Channel and is very much a manoeuvrable Offshore Cruiser with a good range and performance that you would expect from one of the Sunseeker fleet.

 

The sea shanties singing out from the Swedish crew showed that they were having a good time and bathing in the Sunseeker Portofino 46 luxury seating. The engine noise that some have commented about was relatively low in my mind and conversations remained at normal pub level.

 

In the North Sea after a brief re-fuel at Den Helder, the Sunseeker Portofino 46 carved her way through the slight water in excellent conditions without any issues, the crew sunbathing with the covers removed after a traditional Swedish lunch.
