Garmin International has introduced a wireless camera solution designed for mariners who want to keep an eye on areas inside or around their boat.
The GC 100 marine camera features a compact footprint with a discreet weatherproof design which streams high-quality 720p HD video to display directly on a compatible chartplotter on the same network.
It’s adaptable for installation almost anywhere, inside and out, and even in total darkness like an engine room. Hardwired for power,
The camera is ready to use with one-button setup and can be paired with the chartplotter, with the ability to view up to four camera feeds simultaneously.
Scanning sonar
Garmin has also launched a new live scanning sonar for recreational fishing called the Panoptix LiveScope.
The live scanning sonar gives anglers higher resolution and easier-to-interpret images of structure, bait and fish so precise that it’s even possible to distinguish between species.
Like other Garmin Panoptix transducers, LiveScope features two modes in one transducer –LiveScope Down and LiveScope Forward which are interchangeable depending on the angler’s fishing preferences and techniques.
LiveScope is also equipped with an attitude heading reference system (AHRS) that constantly adjusts sonar beams to compensate for boat motion, so even in rough conditions, anglers can see a steady sonar image.
